I have moved this to the new section for entries and rankings, and updated with withdrawal, alternates in and wild cards known at this point.

I think Nalbandian is pretty doubtful as well, but there is no official withdrawal as yet.

The draw is out. Andy's quarter -

[5] Del Potro vs BYE
Ancic vs Berdych
Chardy vs Acasuso
Q vs [11] Wawrinka

[16] Robredo vs Kiefer
Tipsarevic vs Fish
Bolelli vs Q
BYE vs [4] Murray

R2 should be OK, but R3? Robredo on clay? And if he does manage that, there are some very handy clay players in the top section.

PS - Federer's half for a change, but I'm not too confident he will get that far. . .

Not the worst draw for Murray, but it could have been a lot better than what he got.

Good to see him finally in Federer's half, but it is unlikely to matter as I'd be surprised if Murray got to the semi finals with Del Potro/Wawrinka likely to be the favourite in the QF, and even Robredo will probably be the favourite against Murray given his previous record on the clay courts.

I would have thought these threads would have been more at home in Andy's section, with him being the only Brit involved, particulary if we are putting draw information in here as well.

Just my opinion. smile

I understood all entries were to go in the Entries and Rankings section as by the time the tournament starts they can be several pages back and difficult to find.

Despite being in Federer's half a much more difficult draw for Andy. However, optimist that I am, I think he's got a good chance. He has a challenge to get his teeth into without the "reward" of losing to Rafa in the semis hanging over his head. I'd be pretty disappointed with less than Qfs from Andy but I agree Potty or Stan could be a tall order.

With where Fed's head is right now, and Andy's ability to beat him pretty easily on hard, I don't think that he'd pose too much of a problem if Andy does reach the semis.

Wow! According to a report on MTF, taken from L'Equipe, he has tested positive for cocaine and could face a two year ban.

I know L'Equipe articles sometimes have to be taken with a pinch of salt. . .

It's one of the more creative ways for him to avoid having to play Roland Garros to say the least smile

That was my first thought, FD smile.gif but neverthelss very sad. The people on his site seem to think he probably didn't do it deliberately, but that he likes to party hard and might have got hammered and then been susceptible to doing something stupid or getting something spiked or whatever. They aren't very happy with him for being such a numpty (should this prove to be true), that's for sure, and think the French press and public will crucify him. (not that he isn't used to that)
