RE: Weeks 10-11 - Indian Wells Masters 1000

Mad Dani Koellerer (the player once punched on court by the late Federico Luzzi and the player who managed to annoy even Jamie Baker at AOQ) has been at it again http://www.tennis-x.com/xblog/2009-03-16/951.php - very funny read smile

The Duck has just beaten the Djoker.

That brings the points difference down to 810 even if Andy gets no further. They are both only defending 10 points in Miami, so Andy has to get further than Novak to narrow the gap still further.

That's right and means that even if Fed won tomorrow, if Muzza then won Miami, he would take over the no. 3 spot as long as Nole failed to get to the SFs again.

That will take a lot of doing but looking further ahead, Andy will overtake Nole sometime before Wimbledon even if Nole outscores him by 1680 points between now and Queen's!

(see the top 4 graph/table at the stats link in my signature)

Perhaps now is a good moment to say thanks to Steven for that top4 graph, it's fantastic and I've used it on a number of occasions.

I'm trying very hard not to get too excited about Murray's chance to take the number 3 spot, but as an unrepentant optimist it's very difficult!!

Imoen, I'm an unrepentant pessimist and I'm excited at the prospect!
