I'm still not sure if it is worth posting this, Andy must surely be a doubt for playing. The news in the Scottish papers this morning that Judy says he "may be able to start light training in a few days" but that he is still far from well, I would think means that even if he does play, we should not be expecting much from him.
Well, Andy is on the draw sheet. Bye first round, Serra or Montanes second round, Mathieu/Starace/Gremelmayr in the third. If he is anything like fit, he should be okay that far. But then it gets more difficult - seeds in the next section are Robredo (yes, I know, but Andy's H2H with him is 0-2 ) and Cilic (2-0, but Cilic has improved lately).
Very nice draw for Murray in the first few rounds, as even if he isn't 100%, he should still have no problems making round 4, and even then, Robredo/Cilic should be pretty beatable.
Depending on how fit Murray actually is, he should be looking at the semi finals here where he'll probably play Federer again.
Yes, the kind of draw where he could only go out early if he wasn't fully fit. (Oops)
He doesn't have a great record against Robredo (including losing the Metz Final to him - I think it was Metz anyway) but there seems no reason why Rock On should have his number.

And if he isn't fully fit, why oh why does he choose to play doubles? Partnering Ross and 1st round is against Berdych/Kiefer. Guess he just wants match practice and to help Ross out. Both Federer and Nadal are also playing doubles - not together!

Ross flew out there only on a hope that Andy would play dubs with him. If Andy were not fully fit then Ross would have had to play with someone else !
Andy's view of the situation, taken from andymurray.com :
"I am not putting too much pressure on myself to play well this week because I took 10 full days off.
"Obviously, because of that I lost a little bit of fitness and (I am) not hitting the ball as well as I was before I was sick, but hopefully if I can get through a couple of matches I can start to work myself into the tournament.
"There's no point in me coming in here and saying I'm feeling perfect and I've had the best preparation possible,
"Like before Australia, I felt really good going in there. In Rotterdam, I didn't feel my best going in but I found a way to win the tournament and I played better as the week went on.
"But as you get older, you start to understand that you're not going to feel perfect every week and you try and find a way to get through the first couple of matches."
