15-0: AM tries an audacious cross court squash shot winner. It's about half a foot wide. Interesting.
30-0. Unreturnable serve.
30-15. AM steps in on a second serve and a combination of poor feet and the wind holding the ball up sees the Romanian net.
40-15. AM still hasn't quite found his range and his backhand drifts long.
40-30. Powerful groundstrokes see Andy take command of the rally.
GAME. Excellently disguised and executed dropshot.

0-15. Dunno what happened there. Andy has a first serve fault that's more then halfway across the other service box and then a return of his boounces twice before it even reaches the net. We'll call that an anomally.
15-15. Andy brushes that off and steps in and kills the point

40-15. Ditto

Andy is 100% won on first serves and 0% on second serves (although there have only been 2)!

Pavel is stepping right up the court in order to return the second serve, Murray needs to hit one a bit harder!

15-0. Swift groundstrokes allow Pavel to dictate and he finishes the point nicely.
15-15. Beaut of a doublehanded backhand cross court winner off the serve.
15-30. Double fault.
30-30. Murray catches the net on the stretch.
40-30. Murray tries to hit another ambitious running winner down the line but it's considerably wide.
DEUCE. Excellent deep return of serve forces the error
ADvantage Murray. Pavel gets a lucky net cord but his luck runs out as his lob just drifts long
DEUCe. Backhand drifts long for Murray this time.
Ad Murray. Nice little exchange at the net and his dinked return catches Pavel unaware and he fails to make the return that he probably should have.
GAME. Murray makes the break as he shows Pavel how to drop shot.

Pavel isnt playing as badly as expected, but Murray does seem to have upped his game in the last few. Murray is playing well though, currently serving at 86% first serves in!

GAME. Poor approach shot from PAvel and AM clinically makes the cross court forehand pass

JL seems to be echoing his earlier comments, by emphasising that he wants someone to take responsibility. He said he was a bit disappointed with the boys in the AOQ.

He does seem to be lowering expectations, making it seem like its not his fault if things dont go right.

Murray breaks as Pavel pretty much gifts him a game with some poor serving

Murray serves a shocking serve in that game, didnt even reach the net.

But then Pavel retires with a back injury. Bizarre ending!

Well that was pants....Pavel turned up for the dosh IMO. (I would have done the same BTW)

Sad to see a player such as Pavel struggling as he did.

Looking ahead in his draw, Granollers won the first set against Gabashvili 6-4, but 'bash is 2-0 in the second. Melzer has come from a break down to take the first set vs Nishikori 7-5.
