I met Ahmed at the Wrexham futures tournament last year.

He was a very promising player - his attitude seemed to match those displayed during "bebogate" and "junior wimbledon".

Hopefully he can knuckle down and make the most of his talent coz he's got it in spades

What a load of rubbish, this could not be further from the truth!! Ahmed is a very quite & reserved person & not at all like the players that were caught up in "bebogate" & "junior Wimbledon" & for your information he does not drink for religous reasons...I have to say though if you can judge someones attitude just by talking to them for a few minutes you should be using your talents elsewhere not talking utter crap about young players on tennis websites.

appreciate your feedback. looking back over my post it's fair feedback as my comment is very open-ended and not backed up with anything.

What I would say though is that you were not party to the conversation - it's content and length - so please take that feedback in return.

Finally - I still believe the main thrust of my earlier post was a very positive comment on his potential - would have been nice to see you pick up on that. wink.gif

I really can't see why you even mentioned Ahmed's attitude in this thread as the comments are completely out of context to what people have wrote previously
.
Whilst I appreciate your positive thoughts on Ahmed living up to his potential, it is my job to makes sure he gets the very best out of the talent he has & I feel your other quotes completely unfounded & negative, also for your information I was there during the conversation & you were wearing an Everton shirt if my memory serves me correct.

Thank you for your feedback & comments but please remember to comment on areas that you have real knowledge & insight on & not on areas you feel will make a "good read" as it could be very damaging for young players as well as hugely frustrating.

i would have to disagree with these comments.

I think Ahmed has the same attitidue as many players in the fact hat he took a lot of things for granted i.e his place at roehampton!

I personally think that he got too big for his boots and thinks he is a lot better than he is!

never the less no one on here is denying that he isnt a good player

But many people have questioned this including his coaches

I think he could benefit from being in the presence of smeon like fitzy as could a lot of players!

this is the first time i have posted on here but just for the record i have been around the tennis treadmill for what seems like a very long time and as a parent i have a LOT of experience about what happens and where the politics are.

That said when ever i look at some of the comments on this site and others i can only scratch my head and wonder what planet some people are on when they come out with such ill informed comments with little or no foundation. an example on another site is that a player in a tournament should have a good chance of a title because?..well the writer went on to say being seeded 6!! stunning piece of deduction, i am sure there are 31 other players with a chance.

I have no doubt that this post will not make people think before posting but i will sit back and continue to watch and smile at the 'journalistic' words that some people throw onto these message boards. For those that do speak the truth based on facts (not speculation) then thanks for keeping us informed.

Well somebody certainly peed you off didn't they.

As an offender of saying someone has a good chance of winning a title, i tend to base it on who they are, their past results, having seen them play and the rest of the field. Doesn't take much to deduce their chances then does it.

And people are free to express their opinion on something however much experiecne they have in the field. That's what being a sports fan is all about.
