Don't know why Hoolahan was forced to play a five setter but that's the result on ITF! biggrin.gif

SF

(11) James MARSALEK (GBR) d. (7) Zachary W. White (CAN) 6-1 6-2

Sorry about the confusion over James's opponent - the ITF still has Hampel down as the winner, but the USTA drawsheet has White, along with the semi result from today. James has reached one Grade 4 final, earlier in the year

Final

(11) James MARSALEK (GBR) v (14) Pavel Krainik (CAN)

Well done to James. Good to see a local Somerset player pushing through and remember he has another couple of years as a junior and has already got his first senior ranking point! Looking pretty good as a potential star!

Great going. I think he'll move up to around 230 with this win and around 170ish once all the 1990's are deleted.

From the LTA site:

James played his best tennis of the three week trip to Florida, said Arvind Parmar, who coaches the NTC based player. The final was very close, going to the wire in the final set. His opponent served for the match but James showed great composure to break serve and win the tie-break.
