True, but he really needs the ranking points if he wants to catch Nadal up. This was his big chance with Nadal not being here, with points for every match and loads for the final.

"Celebrate good times. Come on." Fed's back on his stomach at the changeover. Time is called and Rog ambles over to serve at 0-3...

00-15 Roger's volleying lets him down.
15-15 Well-placed first serve is too good
15-30 Murray forces Federer wide on his backhand, where he's clearly in pain, and Fed nets
30-30 Unreturned serve
40-30 Ace
Game Federer - Big serve, cheeky drop-shot combo.

Murray leads *3-1.

Murray serving at 3-1...

15-00 Fed volleys just long
30-00 Good return, but Andy stays in the rally and forces Fed long
30-15 Double fault
30-30 Great play from Federer, pushing Murray wide to his backhand before playing a deft dropshot to the forehand side
40-30 More good play from Federer, but Andy somehow manages to chase down a drop shot, play a winner down the line and not stand on the net
Deuce The quality's really high this game. Murray runs Fed around but the latter plays a big backhand winner.
A.Fed Murray slipped chasing a drop-shot and put the ball in the net.
Game Federer. The crowd clap a wayward first serve. Murray tees one up for Fed's forehand and he obliges with a winner.

Murray complains to the umpire about photographers taking pictures between serves.  He now leads 3-2*

Fed takes the changeover sitting down this time. He played a good game last game and is now back on serve at 2-3...

00-15 Good backhand from Murray as Fed approached the net.  Fed hits wide.
15-15 Big first serve and drop-shot winner.  Fed deciding this is an easy put-away tactic with Murray so deep.
30-15 Murray hits long when slightly up in the rally
30-30 Murray forces Federer to go wide and attempt a winner, but Murray's there to play it back into the open court
40-30 Ace
Game Federer A second serve is called out, but immediately corrected.  Fed takes advantage of having a first serve again by firing in an ace.

15-15 Good first serve. Fed nets as Andy ghosts in.
15-30 Fed works the rally onto his forehand and puts Andy under pressure. Andy hits long.
30-30 Well worked by Andy.  Plays to the backhand until he's ready to end the point on Fed's forehand side.
40-30 Excellent deep backhand following up his first serve

Surely Andy isn't going to lose this - to a man with a bad back, having been 5-2 up in set 3 and 3-0 up in set 3?

got to give credit to the fed. in a way i think it better to have a player like him in the finals of the TMC than simon so i hope he can beat andy.
