Masters Cup 2008 - RR - Andy Murray v Roger Federer

Ok, then, here we go. Andy has qualified whether or not he wins this match, but if he wins he will lead the group and play Davydenko in the semis, if he loses he will play Djokovic in the semis. (Actually, the way those two are playing, Djoker might be the safer bet!)

Head to head is currently 3-2 in Andy's favour. It would be nice to make it 4-2.smile

When one of the players does not need to win, he won't.

(ie Djokovic v Tsonga)

The difference here is there is a danger Fed could come back to bite Andy,Tsonga was already out.

If Andy takes the first set then I think he will win....lose the first set and fed is in the driving seat...more than usual.

Andy wants to win, he says he wants to knock Fed out as otherwise he might have to play him twice!

some suggestions on here. MSTV you have to pay for and Betfair you also need an account for. Channel Surfing (CS) is free

Definitely worth signing up for a betfair account. Murray serving at 4-5 in the first set.

Fed to serve at 6-4 0-0

00-15 nice return winner from Andy
00-30 rally, building up in pace, before Fed hits a wayward forehand
00-40 as for previous point
15-40 serve-volley, Murray can't quite make the pass on the run
game Murray another wayward Federer forehand and it's an early break.

Murray leads *1-0

15-00 Murray plays exclusively to the Fed backhand, before rifling a backhand winner of his own
15-15 Muzza drops one short and Fed makes the winner
30-15 Fed hits wide

Game Murray Gives the ball some air and Fed hits wide

Fed serves at 6-4 0-2

15-00 Murray finds the net
30-00 Unreturned serve
30-15 Bouncy, bouncy.  Lots of subtle changes in pace and Fed goes long.
40-15 Muzza nets
