St Petersburg SF: Andy vs Fernando Verdasco

"Nando" has never beaten Andy in their three encounters so far:  Dubai at the start of this year, St P in last year's final & the second round of last year's AO.  Let's hope he doesn't make it fourth time lucky...! pray.gif  Ordinarily, I'd expect Andy to stroll through this, but I guess everything will hinge on how badly he wants to defend his title & conserve his energy for Paris...

Woah! The first semi is nearly over, Golubev leading 6-3 5-0 shocked.gif so it shouldn't be long before Andy is on.

I can't run a livestream and post on here, I'm afraid, the board just takes so long to load that by the time I have posted a score I'm already 2 games behind. . .

Just to add spice, Andy and Verdasco are seeded to meet again in the Last 16 in Paris.

If noone else is doing a commentary, I can at least give a game by game update from my watching of the scoreboard.  It's such an exciting way to follow a tennis match  smile.gif

The Kazakh qualifier, Golubev, it is:  he won 3 & 0! shocked.gif   Surely an incentive for Andy to turn on the stile against Verdasco?  Not that I'm implying that a final against Golubev would be a "gimme", you understand... wink
