RE: Week 43 - ATP - St. Petersburg

First post updated to show the withdrawals etc (not many).

Normally I would have done this when the draw came out on Saturday, but I was far too busy watching Andy!

I was only saying a couple of days ago that there seems to be so much strength in depth in the top 50 at the moment that you just don't seem to get many easy draws. I think this just highlights it. In a week where there is 3 ATP events on to get a draw like this is pretty tough going.

This is a very nasty draw for Andy - it seems all the decent "floaters" ended up in the top eighth of the draw. Other seeds have a much easier time of it: Verdasco plays a qualifier in the first round, followed by the winner of the battle of the wildcards - Lejnieks v Kuryavdstev.

I hope Andy saves himself for Paris next week.

Dubs match for Delgy and Andy not on OOP for Tuesday. No surprise there.

Might see them play dubs early Wed AM and singles last on centre ?

OOP is out for tomorrow.

Andy's singles is on following Verdasco's singles match, due to start at 3pm local time  ( 12 noon BST )

Delgado / Murray doubles match is on following Safin's singles match, due to start at 7pm local time ( 4pm BST )

Both matches are on Centre Court.

I'd guess the two matches will start roughly 1.30 to 2 pm and 5.30 to 6pm BST respectively.

If Andy's singles goes long, and Safin's singles is short, it could be a fun day for Andy !

Sidenote :  With the temperature here today, it's amazing that we are still ( if only for a few more days ) on BST !

I gather Andy won 3 and 3 against Troicki, at least according to the official site?
