Very disappointing. Fed hasn't had to step out of second gear. Apart from the couple of games in the second set where Andy should've gone a break up there's only been one player who was ever going to win. Murray's been too short all night, when he's kept Federer behind the baseline he's been winning points but they've been few and far between.
Which is a shame, because yesterday Andy proved he has the game to live with these guys, and I think if he'd made Federer push a bit harder he could've forced more errors from him. Maybe in a years time with more work on the fitness and the mental strength he'll be able to string a few performances together, but he's clearly got a way to go yet.
Still I think he'd have taken a top four ranking and a grand slam final if you'd asked him at the start of the year - or straight after the Aus open!
im in the norwegian boat that supports britain as a thank you for all the acid rain.......... on a moer serious note, lets look forward to the masters cup guys..
