So Andy takes on another old geezer...27 yr old Austrian Jurgen Melzer who had a slightly easier match today to reach the third round.
Andy leads the H2H 1-0 winning 3-6 6-3 6-3 win in Indian wells this year.
Currently ranked 48 the Austrian has been ranked as high as 28 last year and has won only once on the ATP tour in singles. He has though 4 doubles titles.
The lefty will provide a good test for Andy but I would be surprised if he wins a set.....if Andy plays anywhere near his best that is.
Looking for more composure from Muzza and better 2nd serves.
Only just been able to get to the computer, but have been listening to the commentary... and Harman and Overend are really laying into Murray's play, as it has just been shocking, although Melzer appears to be playing well.
It's passive Murray, he doesn't look interested in the slightest, and it playing some bizarre points (on set point, he served an 82 mph first serve!!!)
The little bits of the match that I could see, Andy's first was not just not going in - it was YARDS out. Which doesn't bode well for a tiebreak, unless he can suddenly get it going.
