Murray's UE count was always likely to be low in this match, because when you're playing a serve/volleyer, you don't get the chance to make many UE's, as the rallies are a lot shorter, and when Llodra is attacking the net, the majority of Murray's passing shots, even if he misses, won't got down as an unforced error, because he's been forced into the mistake by the approach/volley etc.
And yeah, Llodra is an out and out serve/volleyer, so that is how he normally plays
It was quite a thrill watching Llodra taking Muzza apart with his S&V tactics at times - I had to keep reminding myself who I really wanted to win!
There was certainly a bit of Mandy (the moonball muppet) and Kevin (the teenager) on show today (the classic KtT moment was when Muzza appeared to pick some wax out of his ear after losing a point and have a good look at it before throwing it away in disgust ) but in some ways it was quite encouraging that this is the kind of match in which he would have spiralled to destruction in the past, and he did just about manage to keep it all together.
It was rather good not only that German Eurosport showed that match even though Anna-Lena was on another court but also to hear Muzza being talked about as "der Nummer sechs in der Weltrangliste" rather a lot!
Enjoyed this little bit of Deutglisch too, when Llodra needed to serve himself out of trouble and did:
"Also, was wird der Franzose jetzt machen? Serf und vollay? Nein, diesmal kommt ein service vinner!"
Muzza v Smelly is a doubly big match with DC v Austria coming up.

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
Watched most of it and at times Llodra was inspired...going for the lines and corners with power. Muzza had no answer at times. Some great rallies between them and outstanding volleys from both.
The 2nd serve today was a yard short from what he has been doing....Llodra was all over it. On the plus side Muzza had some great drop shots but didnt see the lob in action to much.
So what was the difference...UFEs...I think....and the fact that Murray has a complete game when it is working. Llodra got tight and started to net towards the end.
Muzza was close to loosing it at times....chucking the raquet about and fisting on a Llodra service fault...not to good.
