You know, this boy's family/coaches seems to know what's good and what's not good for him. Where as the LTA would love to make him play Nationals, he goes and plays an ITF!
Liam's first round match is tougher than it seems as his opponent doesn't play much but beat Carpenter earlier this year, so can't be rubbish. It's a win-win situation for him as he'll develop a better idea about how older players play, whether he wins or not.
Although the Nats wouldn't have been too bad either as now the total focus is on developing a game and not stacking up the points. But Liam plays less 14s tennis than most people of his age so I guess he uses that time on the practice court.
