Could be a frustrating game to wach for Murray fans but thats how it seems to go.

I did say Andy would break Karlovic at least once in each set, and that might be enough.  I stand by first part.  Now hold here, please.

Commentators just said that pror to this match, Karlovic had won 49 out of 50 service games.  Andy's now broken him 2 out of 4.  It is one of his greatest assets that he can get a controlled return on serves that others can bearly get a racket on !

Ivo isn't serving that well today, which is good.

Very solid set from Andy, once he woke up smile

Great variety, sometimes serving and volleying, but generally after the fiest few games any rally he is winning the vast majority of the time, which is to be expected.

woohoo first set Murray. yay :) Another set like that (though perhaps without the early break of Murray's serve...)

Great break first game, only took the 8 break points smile.gif

The thing is he did nothing really wrong on any of them and was inches out with a couple of returns he did so well to get a racket to.

And he goes 2-0 while I am still writing this, serving to love.

Karlovic has saved 9 out of 12 break points.

I don't think he's had to face that many break point opportunites in recent times. I can't think of a single match, in fact. Grand Slams included. It just highlights how good Andy is at returning the ball and how his game matches up brilliantly against big servers.
