He needs to just hold serve now, no silly stuff.

Murray to serve - 3-1

0-15 - short 2nd serve and Tursunov hits a bh winner
15-15 - short return, and a fh dropshot winner (today Murray is getting he dropshots perfect)
30-15 - bh return is long
40-15 - bh return is wide off another short 2nd serve
40-30 - one bounce fh from Murray into the net
Game Murray - Tursunov puts a fh wide in the rally

Murray leads 4-1

2 games to go.... and he's cruising right now, and playing pretty well (although Tursunov hasn't woken up yet)

Yes, very good solid win.  No dramas, not used to this, but it's good !!

As he was saying himself after the match in interview, he's now getting much better at backing matches up at the top level.  He was also saying that it was unbelievably hot and humid, which he said probably didn't come across on TV.  Well, it did sort of at the end, he looked knackered.

I feel even more sorry now for Moya, coming out to play again !!

Nicely done.

With Blake losing and failing to defend his final from last year, Andy will move into to top 8 probably (assuming noone overtakes him, haven't done the calculation).

Gulbis seems destined for top 20/top 10.

Not just yet, with this stagger in the points drop-off, he needs to win another match to pass Roddick according to my calculations.

By August 18 almost certainly.

Only one person can pass him: Verdasco, if Andy loses his next match and Verdasco wins the entire tournament.smile
