It is about time Jess won and ITF title. She has moved up the ranks OK but hses now the 9th ranked 1994 i think and there is a 1995 ranked abover her. Only titles at this levek will see her jump up the ranks.
Amy Bowtell was doing very well last year but the last few months have been a nightmare. Jessica should beat her in straights, although I doubt it'll be anywhere near this easy.
Reaching the quarters without losing a game is a good achievement.
Richard GABB (GBR) beat Marlon BRAND (NED) by 63 63 John MORRISSEY (IRL) (4) beat Marc WESTGATE (GBR) 63 62 Bobbie DE GOEIJEN (NED) (7) beat Daniel COCHRANE (GBR) by 64 62 Mathew THOMSON (GBR) (3) beat Gavin GILHAWLEY (IRL) by 62 63 Christopher SIMPSON (GBR) beat Sam BARRY (IRL) (2) by 64 76 (4)
Boys' quarters:
Richard GABB (GBR) beat Sebastian HAGN (GER) by 63 62 Mathew THOMSON (GBR) (3) beat Bobbie DE GOEIJEN (NED) (7) by 64 75 Christopher SIMPSON (GBR) beat Ciaran FITZGERALD (IRL) by 64 64
Alexandra Walker [251] vs. Kimberley Cassar [648] of Malta Alessandra Bonte [467] of the USA vs. Jessica Ren [348]
Richard Gabb [1548] vs. John Morrissey [434] of Ireland Mathew Thomson [378] vs. Christopher Simpson [783]
Cassar is underranked because she doesn't play much but she won against Tamara Curovic in March, so can't be useless. Alex will be the favourite anyway.
Bonte's record isn't very impressive, although she does play a lot on clay (which Jessica does, too). Jessica should win in straigts again and reach her first final.
Whoever Richard Gabb is, he is doing well! Morrissey isn't anything to be scared of and he'll have a chance of reaching the finals.
Thomson plays a lot om clay and should beat Simpson.
