Toronto 2008 R3 - Murray v Wawrinka

3rd on Grandstand Court, probably about 7pm BST (rain permitting)

The H2H has Stan leading 3-2, but on hard courts Andy leads 2-1. Stan won their last meeting, on clay.

This match is a must-win for Andy, as they are next to each other in the rankings and this determines who moves ahead in both Entry and Race rankings.

Andy to win in 3 sets... he's a better player on a hard court than Wawrinka is, but Wawrinka may get on a roll for a set, or Murray decides to be as useless as he was for times last night.

Djokovic though awaits in the QF's, and he looked very good against Soderling today, and should be the strong favourite for the title

I'll settle for QF points here, at least it would cover those he is having to drop. But one step at a time, first he has to get past Stani.

Andy leading 4-0, Stani is taking an injury timeout with a knee problem.

I can't post when the tennis gets underway again, AMSTV uses all the power my computer has and the board won't work at the same time!

First set won and Andy disappears for a toilet break.

I wish I knew what that cream is that the trainers use - one rub and Stan is now running round like a lintie.

Wow.  Bageled.

That was a very poor set from Andy.

I saw the 1st set score, thought great, one of his most important matches of the year and he's putting in a clinical performance for a change.

Come back 20 minutes later ... what's the Muppet up to NOW?!

Wey, 1 game all in 3rd set.  Finally won a game, and from break point down, so maybe a match again.

Just watching the last few games... and Murray was playing some seriously rubbish tennis, and only the first serve saved him from getting broken last time... he's not playing like a top 10 player at the moment...

Although Wawrinka is trying his best to keep Murray in the match at times as well
