In the match of the two undefeated teams, India created a big surprise of beating sixth seed Great Britain to reach the semifinal of the World Junior Tennis Finals. The tie was already decided after the singles matches as Diavijay Singh defeated Conor Bunting in straight sets and Ronit Bisht followed suit with a 76 62 victory over Liam Broady. As the first time the Indian team has reached the knockout stages, the team is guaranteed it's highest ever finish in a world junior team competition. India will face top seed USA in tomorrows semifinal.
Girls BOL-GBR: 0-3
Great Britain booked its place in the semifinal today, completing a clean sweep of its round robin ties with a victory over Bolivia. Joanna Henderson made her first appearance in the singles for Great Britain and repaid captain Helen Reesbys faith with a win over Maria Ines Deheza 61 75. Dehezas twin sister Maria Paula then produced a spirited, but ultimately unrewarded, performance against Britains Laura Robson, losing in straight sets to the number one. The dead rubber doubles tie, which could still influence where Bolivia finished in a close group, ended in a straight sets victory for Robson and Henderson, 64 60. Great Britain will now play USA in the semifinal.
Of all tyrannies a tyranny exercised for the good of its victim may be the most oppressive.... those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience

Robson vs. Gavrilova once again as GB face Russia in the semis. The US face Belgium in the other semis.
In Britain, it's very rare to have two world class players in the same year, so I badly want them to win it all. Especially for Jessica Ren, who has been playing team competitions for ages but has been unlucky not to get a title till now.
Jessica v Yulia Putintseva, and she must have lost Yulia has been on form and I heard she's so hyper on court, or if you like, passionate??? Hope it was a close match
"In the other semifinal, Russia got the lead in the first singles when Yulia Putinseva battled down Jessica Ren. In an epic match, current Junior Wimbledon Champion Laura Robson then defeated the Russian number 1 Daria Gavrilova. Having missed to finish off the match in the second set when she already had two match points, Robson kept her calm and dominated the third set with the score of 62. The doubles match had to decide who would join USA in the final. Laura Robson and Joanna Henderson lost the first set in the tiebreak, then fought back to win the second set 63. The match is still on court now."
