I think I got my ticket at about 6:15, but people were possibly avoiding the queue because of the forecast.
Anyway, a guy from the press association interviewed me, and filming it, lasted about 3 minutes, though at best they may just use a few quotations, I was really nervous, and ending up sounding like an idiot with some of the things I said.
OK, folk seem to queue the day before, and then get assigned numbers for their place in the queue. Once you have been assigned a number do you absolutely have to stay in situ in the queue ( apart from say short times like toilet breaks ) all through the night and up to the time they open the gates or what is the official procedure ?
Question from a guy that really would prefer not to camp overnight in a queue outside Wimbledon and likes his comforts too much
I don't know about camping overnight but they've improved things a lot with the morning queue.....you can now leave the queue for refreshments and toilet as long as people either side of you are happy with that and you let a steward no
Before unless you arrived prepared you had no other option apart from starving or urinating en route otherwise you lost your place
Reporting from Wimbledon Centre Court, section B, row G, seat 21. Unfortunately the digi camera battery is completely dead, I barely managed to get a picture of Fed on set point.
Anyway, I'm typing this from my N95, which is also what I'll be using for all my remaining pics and videos... but it has no optical zoom.
