I was just looking at Andy's record over 5 set matches, and a) I didn't realise that he'd played so many, and b) I knew it was actually an OK record, but hadn't recalled that it was as good as it actually is.
He has played 11 five set matches :
LOST Nalbandian, Wimbledon 06/05 BEAT PaveL, US Open 08/05 LOST Clement, US Open 08/05 LOST Monfils, French Open, 05/06 BEAT Ram, Davis Cup 07/06 BEAT Gonzalea, US Open 09/06 LOST Nadlal, Australian Open 01/07 BEAT Bjorkman, US Open 08/07 BEAT Cilic, Davis Cup 09/07 BEAT Eysseric, French Open 05/08 BEAT Gasquet, Wimbledon 06/08
So overall record, won 7, lost 4, including winning 6 of the last 7. He has also, incidentally, been down in sets at some stage in every one of the matches he has won.
So, James Blake he is certainly not ! ( though Blake has learnt how to beat Frenchmen )
Tim It does work but you must have subscribed, it is a great £10 worth though - you can view ALL the recorded matches here (you can watch interactive instead of download) http://wimbledon.mediazone.com/UK/featured.html and more, check out PC requirements first though.
I got 79% downloaded before it locked up ! And I think that part of their website has been taken off-line !
Tim
Many thanks, Mid.
Yesterday I did manage the Epic download of 1.9 Gig file ! and got the bill of 25 US$ too !
Now as there is a Bahrami doubles match in there too, I didn't mind that.
Now I use Suse Linux which does not support M$'s wmv files, so I have to switch to Vista to run it. (why did they release Vista ? A slow old dog is there ever was one ! )
My TV doesn't play wmv files (?), but must check to see if my DVD will but as it has a interactive password to see if I've paid, then it may not !
