Well done Boggo, and 6-4, 6-1 is a good win over Falla and having to qualify has worked well for him as it's got him some wins together, some confidence, and the points to take him back to British number 2. (even though we think Falla tanked the 2nd set)
Who do we want him to draw then?
Personally, I'd like him to draw Baker.... because I think he has the best chance of making the QF's if he does - I'd fancy him against Simon/Young, and a QF would be a great result for Boggo (I'd take Slabba as well, if Isner beats Stepanek)
hmm id say he would probably tank in a futures qualifying but because you get 5 points for qualifying here then i doubt he will
That's what I'd have thought too, but there have been clear tanks in the Wimby FQR before (that's why the ITF changed the LL system for their events) and there you get 7 extra points for winning a FQR match.

vgrtoh beat neilsen which is good cos you wouldnt want nielsen playing a brit in round 1 (i hope i am right in thinkin he is the brit basher otherwise this post will look stupid)
Hopefully this has given Boggo the confidence to do some damage in the main draw. The LTA seem to have got the WCs about right for him, so that's good.

Yes, freerider, he's the one with the 21-match Brit-bashing streak. I was quite hoping he'd get through and be drawn against a Brit who could beat him and break the streak, but you're right, safer that he doesn't get through at all!
I'm wondering whether to put Boggo's win on the table ... I don't want to do it then find that he suffered a catastrophic injury on the last point! I guess we know this scoreboard's dodgy though, so that should mean good news!

SB deletes the Cox/Nishikori match to tell us Boggo won 6-4, 6-1.
Great second set by the stats, winning 100% on his first serve and winning 59% of points on Falla's serve.
Looks a lot like a tank, but a good win for Boggo at least and he'll enjoy the 5 points, and hopefully the praise he'll get on the BBC later today when they stop the Rafa love for 5 minutes to talk about Nottingham (but then again, do we think this will happen - of course not)
