Presumably he chose his words carefully and wasn't referring to all British tennis players. If he was, he'd have to pay me my bus fare to the courts at the local park.
Apparently Draper is up for funding your travel as a British tennis player! He said so to Sue Barker on telly!
Has he told the players yet?
Yes, well done Fitzy, good to see you back in action and doing well.
It would be good if the LTA did fund some of the travelling, that seems like a good use of the money they're saving by cutting so many home events, especially if they want to encourage the GB players to play overseas more often.
Like you say though, it would be nice if they told the players too

Got to get him to Wimby so that my Dad (and no doubt countless other people at Wimby) can confuse him with Jamie Murray and go "oh wasn't it Grosjean we wanted to win? I recognise him" again.
Jonny playing Chris must mean, sadly, that Fitzy lost. Hope it was close ...
I also hope Morgan beats Flan today, since I find it pretty pointless giving a WC to someone who doesn't care about their singles ranking.

Yaay Go jonny indeed!! Said that he served pretty well against Dan Evans yesterday, dont know about today, only heard the score.
Chris Eaton will be tough, did pretty well in Wimbledon qualies last year.
Had a good chat with Jonny yesterday, he is very philosophical about this week.
He said that if he couldnt win through this week then he couldnt expect to win any games in Wimbledon qualies anyway, and that it would mean that if he qualifies this way he will have another week's grass court tennis under his belt before next week anyway, so seems to have a very positive approach to it, though obviously he is pretty uptight about it because he desperately needs to do well this week to give him a boost and get an opportunity to get some points on the board.
He is using his PR for Ireland and I'd expect him to play Manchester as well after that so it could be a good few weeks.
That all sounds postive, and yes, if he does get through this week, he'll be well prepared for next week - it's just a pity that either Chris or him will miss out on Wimby qualifying, where they are both capable of winning the odd match.

Good one gazzpash, put the secrets police off the scent ...
In the distaff version of this, the conversation was of 'Tiger's mole'; now Lilly has been feeding us information and Tiger Lily was a famous spy, was she not ... or was that Tiger Moth???
