Went back on again at 330, progressed to 76 44 and now off again and could be some time.

Cox is a set up and 55, Cox has had match points but missed them.

Keep it up, Jonny.

Neutral about the other match but hope both will get WCs somehow.

Two good matches in progress then, and it's a shame that 2 of them will lose as I'd like all 4 of them to get a WC to qualifying, even though I think Jonny and Eaton are the 2 who'd most likely have a chance of winning a round.

Marray/Eaton is very close as expected, and I think Jonny will just win the match, but bad news for Cox having to sit and think about the missed match points over a long rain break now and will be interesting to see how he recovers from that when the match starts again

All four should be getting qualies WCs but they won't, I think! Congrats to Jonny and Coxy on earning their wild cards.

Will they bother to make them play the 'final' tomorrow? On one hand, Marray probably needs to play a few more matches before he gets back to 100% and Coxy needs to play as many Challenger level players as he can; on the other, they both have a lot of tennis to play in the next few days so this could tire them out.

Well done Jonny (and Dan) smile.gif Bad luck to Morgan, then again grass is hardly his surface, is it! I think he did well to beat Flan. Bad luck to Chris too - he pushed Jonny so close and that wasa pretty bad draw for a no. 1 seed!

Hopefully having played in this will help the two who've got through it when they play in the real qualifying competition next week, but I'm not quite sure what the point of playing the Final is - imagine how stupid it would seem if one of them got injured during the match!

When I spoke to Jonny he didnt think he was going to be playing the final.

Also unsure whether qualifying for Nottingham would dq him from Wimby qualies. I have a vague memory of someone being in qualies last year or another year making it through and alternating between games at nottingham and playing wimby qualies, have I made this up or did it happen?

its a fair old trip between the two but perhaps if they played on alternate days then it could happen. cant see it being ideal tho.
perhaps enter the notts qualies, ask for a monday md match and tank it? what day do wimby q start?

You might be thinking of Tsonga and Surbiton/Queens Qualies.

You can play both Nottingham qualifying and Wimbledon qualifying -you just can't play in 2 main draws in the same week, so you can play both tournaments if you can make it at both.

I guess that will be a problem for a lot of the Brits as they will be scared of doing too well in Nottingham as they would then have a problem playing at Wimbledon which has to be their priority.

Well done to Jonny and Coxy for getting the WC's though and hope they make good use of it in the qualifying and win a round or two. Jonny could qualify if he gets a nice draw, and this will be a good test to see what level Coxy is at and whether he can do as well/better than Evans did this week
