Another serve and volley, just brilliant that was!

Still no first serves from Andy, break point, second serve and a PATHETIC unforced error.

What a pathetic effort that was. Why even bother breaking back?

30-15, can't even put Mugro's second serves in play

Utter dross in the end from Andy. What's the point in being a "fighter" at 4-5* and then folding like a little girl at 5-5. Very disappointing

The collapse in the 3rd set was even worse, really really pathetic

Still a decent performance. His serve was just too poor. If he can get more first serves he probably would have won.

NINE double faults there from Andy. That's almost as bad as Coria

Only 49% first serves, I'm shocked it's that high tbh

No more woohoos from me. I was beginning to sound like a Dire Straits song anyway.

How would you rate Andy's performance overall today?

Didn't see the match, but to take Almagro to 4 sets is a decent result, and in theory he should have won the 3rd having been a break up, and the 4th having held all the momentum at 5-5 against a known choker.

The scoreline doesn't look too bad and suggests he can competen with, if not beat, those top clay court players.

Whether the performance suggested something totally different though..... judging by some of the comments in this thread...

Yeah, BBC commentators need to start telling it how it is more. There were trying to find positives when there was very little positive to take from that match, apart from a little fight at the
That was pretty dire.

Murray the moonballer is back, I knew that if he didn't play aggresive he would get beat. smile.gif
