Andy Murray confirmed his fitness for Wimbledon by coming through three tough sets against Serbian Janko Tipsarevic.
Murray won the Boodles Challenge match 6-3 5-7 (12-10) but, more importantly, showed no signs of the thumb injury that forced him out of Queen's.
The British number one said the thumb gave him some pain.
"There were a few times when I mi**** the ball that I felt the thumb, but I was able to play for around an hour and a half and it felt OK," he said.
"I managed to play some good tennis.
Murray, who survived match points against world number 40 Tipsarevic, added that he was relishing the chance to play at Wimbledon having missed out last year with a wrist injury.
"The lack of pressure on you, that is quite nice to play with no expectation on your shoulders," he joked.
"(But) the support you get there is unbelievable playing on Centre Court in front of 14,000 people."
Good to see him playing again and winning a match, even if it is an exhibition, and saving MP's is good as well.
The result really doesn't mean a lot, but the win always does you good, and if he feels good after the match then it's encouraging for Wimbledon.
But the BBC getting a report of an exhibition up before Boggo's win in an ATP event isn't though.... and they even have a report on our website to copy if they want to

... and a report on the LTA site, which has had very good coverage of Nottingham (given that I've had a go at them so often recently, I feel the need to compliment them when they do somehting good too!)
The BBC won't touch a GB men's tennis match unless it's got a Murray in it at the moment - and nor will Centre Court at Nottingham by the looks of it.

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
The BBC report seems to suggest that he is done playing at Boodles....
"The Scot will now look to fine tune his game on the practice courts at Wimbledon and he said he was relishing the chance to play at the All England Club next week"
I thought they played 2 or 3 matches ?
As usual the Boodles web site is as useful as Caviar in Govan with no OOP / Draw etc...
