RE: Weeks 26-27 - Wimbledon, London

huss/hutchins will play hippensteel/phillips

And it will Eaton/Pashanski, as that what they said on the radio - trust the BBC to not be able to listen to a radio and write down the names correctly

Bloomers/Skupski must be in the top section as they didn't mention their names on the radio and went to it late, so they'll be in the Bryan brothers section

BBC has Eaton playing Mahut?

So does Telegraph http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/main.jhtml?xml=/sport/2008/06/20/utwimbers220.xml

and the Times http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/tennis/article4178666.ece

Press Agency again?

The fact it was announced as Eaton vs. Pashanski on the radio, plus that's what the Wimbledon site has, means that is the match I'm going to stick with for the moment.

Obviously a PA has got it wrong and sent it out wrong, but when they put the full draw up we'll find out

I heard Andrew Jarrett himself announce Eaton v Pashanski on Radio Wimbledon, so it had better be right lol.

It is right - confirmed by the official draw sheet, Eaton v Pashanski. Mahut v Tursunov is on the next line.

I must say I am pleasantly surprised that noone has suggested that this is anything other than a good draw for Andy Murray.

The fact is that is almost as good as he could possibly have hoped for.

1st :  Santoro could be a fun match, but not a real danger, Andy has thunped him before.

2nd :  Malisse or Grimellayr  - coudn't hope for much better in 2nd round

3rd :  Robredo ( 23 )  ( or naybe Canas or Haas )   -  as per 2nd ( replace by 3rd ! )

4th :  Potentially ( probably ) Gasquet ( 8 )  -  prove your one of the best 5 players in the world on grass courts, Andy, because it's debatable whether Richard is, in spite of last year.

Q :  Someone please knock out Nadal early doors, beacause if he's still in by this stage, well at least it could be Andy's first grand slam quarter.

S :  Hey let's dream - well, it can't be Federer, Djokovic or Nadal !  so....

F :  WTF cares, he's in the final now !!!

I watched Bolelli get hammered 1 & 4 by Benneteau in Nottingham and I have to say he looked completely clueless on a grass court. If Boggo doesn't win this one I'll be mightily disappointed.

This has got to be the best Wimbers draw from a British point of view since I've been following tennis. Time to make a name for yourself lads!

Wow, how did you manage that?

I'm going on the first Wednesday, Centre Court. If they decide to put Andy and Ana on as well as Fed that day, I for one won't be complaining. ;)

You need to pray for rain on Tuesday else Andy will be playing tuesday/ thursday/ saturday.

You obviously haven't been on AndyMurray.com since the draw - the moaning was deafening last time I looked! wink

Tobias Kamke, who lost to Jan Hernych yesterday is in the draw (against 29th seed Seppi), so I guess that was Bloomers chance of an LL gone.

Ha ha, I have just had a look.  I don't think some of them would be hapy unless they were allowed to handpick the draw themselves biggrin
