Thanks for that. Good result given how dangerous Boluda can be.

Nice biography, by the way!

La Robson lost by 2 and 1.

Me thinks Laura shouldn't be playing these big tournaments right now. She's not good enough to beat the seeds at the moment and she's running out of events fast. Give it a year and she'll probably be winning these titles. It's more important to get a good ranking now.

Good win by Cox that. clap.gif

Bit of of awful scoreline from Smethurst though.  cry

A Willis / Cox final would be good. pray.gif

Marcus and Neil are out of the doubles-they lost 2 and 3.It's the same pair that Marcus lost to in 3 in the doubles final at Cap D'ail,so they're pretty handy.

After this tournament, Laura will only have 3 left she can play until the end of May and 5 until the end of June.  I assume she hopes 2 of those will be for WCs to Roehampton and Wimbledon.

Tournament limititations for the better youngsters is a real issue.  Jen Ren also only has 5 left until the end of June, while her sister Jessica only has 4 left until she turns 14 at the end of August - hence why she is not competing alongside jen at most of these tournaments.

I think that the AER is too strict. As such it forces most of the players to do 14 and under tournaments, so there's not much point!

Cox lost 4/6 6/2 6/4 to Folie. Bah! I hate this result - this way he'll get into RG but not get a good ranking rise. I wanted him to either go out early or win the title. This is the worst of both worlds.

Anyway, hopefully this will get him a wild card into Bournemouth.
