there aren't many easy draws in these masters series but would have hoped for better than this !!
dire section......I'd expect Andy to beat Safin though clay did use to be one of Safin's best surfaces........not sure about Wawrinka...I know Andy's beaten him twice this year but Wawrinka's playing great atm, he beat Nalbandian 3&1 this week......
Rome is quite slow, definately compared to Monte Carlo which could help
Last year Andy got dumped out in 3 sets in a rain-hit match with Gilles Simon
Looking at the qualifying draw there doesn't look to be an abundance of players who would really trouble Murray and seeing as he beat Volandri last week, and Volandri is better on clay than anyone in the quali draw, it would be a major disappointment if he lost in round 1
That said, I don't see him getting past round 2 unless Wawrinka is tired from this week (lets ignore Safin as he ain't beating Stan the man) and doesn't have anything left, but Wawrinka has always troubled Andy and has an attacking game which means he can't just junkball into the middle of the court
And then Nadal... well, lets just hope Murray doesn't get humiliated in that match

Roddick vs Bye Fish vs. Llodra Bolelli vs. Q Simon vs. Tsonga
On clay, that is a very weak section as I wouldn't be surprised to see Roddick in the QF's, as only Bolelli (who can't return) and Simon (who has no weapons at all) can actually play on the clay
Actually, Murray being 16th seed is a disadvantage as he has to play one of the big 4 in the 3rd round, while if he's unseeded he could have got one of the lesser seeds on the clay in an earlier round and then gone further eg. being in the Roddick section
'Yeh youknow' ATP have Rome interview with Andy at http://www.atptennis.com/1/en/home/ 'Yeh youknow' this may have been posted already but I couldn't see it, so sorry if it has 'youknow'
