Can anybody who actually saw all this match do a report for bt.net? It's a bit ridiculous having nothing about it on there.

I didn't see it all, and am useless at reports anyway. But if nobody comes up with anything before about 11pm, I'll hash something up from various other reports laughing.gif

Why don't you choose one of the reports from a respected newspaper if all else fails. confused Or does that go against the grain? I just wondered if that might be a solution to the problem if there is no-one who could do a personal report.

I would be worried about copyright, just to repost a report from somewhere else. I would have to read several and make a report from a mixture.

A personal report would be much better! I nicked Kundalini's reports for the quarters and semi, but perhaps he wasn't able to watch the final.

Andy Murray won his second title of the year, defeating Mario Ancic 6-3 6-4 in the final in Marseille.

Despite reaching the final without dropping serve all week, Ancic found himself under pressure as Murray's superior returning skills created numerous opportunities to break.

Mario managed to save four break points midway through the first set, then saw two chances of his own come and go in Murray's next service game, before conceding his serve for the first time. Serving for the set, Andy endured an epic game featuring five break points, until he finally claimed the set at his sixth opportunity.

While Murray's first serve was proving to be a key weapon, his low first serve percentage presented Ancic with plenty of opportunities to attack his second serve. Having seen eight chances pass, Mario gained his first break of serve to go 3-1 ahead in the second set, only to lose the next four games as Murray surged towards the finishing line. Ancic saved one match point on his own serve but the following game Andy served out the match to love.

After the disappointment of Australia, and the ill-feeling created by his late withdrawl from the Davis Cup, winning his fifth title should give Murray the confidence to go on to compete with the best as the season develops.

Thank you Kundalini! I'll put in on bt.net.

Edit - oh! somebody already has. I'm out all evening on Mondays, so I didn't see it until now.
