Brilliant! Let's hope we can get a big group of fellow Dee supporters together in the group.

Do you know him by any chance? I live just over the road from Corby Tennis Centre, might come over and watch some this week. Has the draw been made or have you just been told the main draw starts on Thursday?

Robert Dee/Alexander Hutchings (GBR) d. Daniel Evans/Dan Smethurst (GBR) w/o
Rob's first ever win?
Surely you haven't forgotten the Khartoum win with Paul Brighten over the Sudanese pair? That was a real one too, none of the this w/o rubbish. (else we'll have to accept that Adam L once beat Michael Ryderstedt too!)

there is someone that i have seen that robert dee would beat who plays futures...and not only would he win he would win 0and0, his name is michael bishop. I saw him play the first one of bath futures 07.
He's american he walked on court and didn't make a ball in the warm up, he stood almost on the net to volley and was nearly hit wth the ball. every warm up serve bounced on his side first before going over the net.
A big crowd formed around the court he was playing on to watch him, his first service game started with 4 double faults in a row, retun game he was hit with the ball twice by some very confusing topspin serves.so he is now 2.0 down he then serves 3 double faults then at 0-40 he makes a serve as he makes it everyone cheered then he almost fesh aired the next shot.
after this he walked to the net and shook hands, he was then called to the refs office and she told him he should never play theese tournaments again. he had a argument with her in there i heard him shout something along the lines of "i swear to the depths of hell i am a good server" also was seen to be praying in the changing room before his match.
I asked his opponent Hood after the match why he said he retired and hood replied saying he said that his "serve volley game wasn't working"
Thats his activity he's played 5, he does have one game on the board in his total. although the game he won im convinced the other guy ether gave him the game or hit 4 double faults!
Lets just hope dee doesn't draw him and end his quest for the holly grail
Haha quality story. Would love to watch Dee play him.

Robert is in Terrasa near Barcelona this week. After his horrendous draws of the last couple of weeks, he has been rewarded with a match against a Brazilian wild card called Fabio Borges, who has a W 1 L 3 career record and has never played outside Brazil before.
Could this be the week when Robert might snatch a set? I'd have been quite hopeful when he was in his best form a year or so ago, but I'm not that confident this time. Still, he might avoid the various baked goods this time ...

WOW!! Robert is certainly doing his best to provide stunning news for his new Facebook fan club - he managed something he's never done before, going down to a bagel in the 1st before storming back to get into only his 2nd ever TIEBREAK, and his first-ever on clay!
He lost it 7-4, but in 53 matches, that's the closest he's EVER gone to taking a set.
I don't know about you, but I couldn't stop myself jumping up and punching the air. (and you think I'm joking!)
Well done Robert - can't wait for your next match, when you either get your first win or (more likely, admittedly) equal the record - either way, it'll be brilliant!
