RE: Robert Dee's quest for the record

How about a silver medal for always coming 2nd in his matches?

Brilliant! That definately gets my vote.

Robert is approaching the record in some style, managing to get double-bagelled for only the 2nd time in his career today! Once again, someone playing him for the second time has improved - Diaz-Ventura 'only' won 0 & 1 when they met in 2005.

to only have been double bagelled twice in your career is pretty impressive really. But i hope it was a one off and Robert isn't star struck by the tantilisingly close to record too much to try in these last few matches, that would lessen the achievement somewhat.

oh, and the silver medal gets my vote as well. smile.gif

Stop press: Robert makes the top 700!

Yes, that's right, in the 2008 prize money list - he has made $352 so far this year, half of it added to the ATP list last week (I think it's for the second Colombia Futures that he got a MD WC for), giving him a rise of 64 places to 697, just behind David Rice in 686th and Slabba in 664th, and taking his career prize money to $ 2198.

Does it link back to here for those who are interested?

Also, does it mention that he's such a start, he's had a Times article about him and doubles partner from Sudan, Paul Brighten?
