If it's any consolation, Fed will probably be looking forward to this even less than Andy is, it's not a great draw for him. And if you're going to meet Fed, it might as well be in R1 or R2, when you have a chance of catching him cold. Also, the bottom half of the draw is quite a bit stronger than the top half.
Finally, if he does lose, there's no disgrace in doing so and he'll be fresh for IW.

I couldn't have put it better myself. If I'm completely honest, Federer is my favourite player ( apart from Borg, but that's another era ) and if Andy wasn't a Brit I wouldn't care if he won, or not, but... The doubles will be no easy task either. I think it could be an early bath.
Fed is my second-favourite player, Helki. I suppose I have the consolation that one of my favourites will win. . . I'm really hoping for Andy, but I'm not confident. Although Fed is vulnerable in the early rounds of tournaments, he will remember that Andy beat him last time round and will come out with all guns firing I expect.
What!? Can't believe what I'm reading on here. Its great news! Can't wait to watch the match, gonna be awesome. Both of Andy's matches against Fed and both against Nadal have been brilliantly entertaining and from what we've seen in 2 Andy v Fed matches I think Andy has a decent chance. Should be a great match!
If anyone is still feeling depressed, might help to know that Djoko went out here last year to a certain Roger Federer and it certainly didn't do his season any harm!

Count, right-click on the emoticon, then click on "copy image location". That will give you the url of the emoticon which you can use on here with the insert/edit image icon.
I have a little file where I keep a note of several useful ones. . .
Also, apart from Federer, all of the seeds are into R2, the only one who had any trouble was Nadal, who had to come from a set down to beat Kohlschreiber.

The power of positive thinking, eh, Steven!
You can say that again!

Anyone who hasn't yet seen Dubai - Past -Present -and Future take a look HERE it really is amazing! - Warning - if on dial up connection may be slow to load all of image, get a cup of tea. (I couldnt be bothered to split the files)
I saw Rafa on Dubai Sport TV today go to the top of the tallest building in the world (not yet full height - it looked really scary - rafa didnt enjoy having to climb stairs for the last level, he then signed one of the bricks, there was one other sig there already which I believe may have been Fed - I wonder if Andy will go up there? I noticed that some of the workmen had ropes attached, I presume in case they were blown off.
