Again, great results from all three. Watling doesn't appear to be messing about - conceding six games over four sets! Fingers crossed he can take that forward against the top seed.

Watling is top 200 now since the 1989 boys dropped out. smile.gif

A few more great runs like this and he'll join Evans, Willis, Cox, Angus and Knights in the top 100!

Evo is top 10!

Cunha will be a good yardstick! Hold your serve lad!

Congrats to Shorty and Thommo as well w00t.gif

Over on Juniortennis.com they have some results up.

Michael Thompson won 4-6, 7-6, 7-6! biggrin Next up for him is Johannes Van Overbeek, who beat Miccini in the previous round.

Unfortunately Matthew Short fell 6-3, 6-3 to the No.2 seed, but that still helps his ranking, and hopefully he felt that he had some chances to go close in his last match.

No score yet for Ashley Watling, fingers crossed.

WEll done to Thompson and commiserations to Short.

If that guy beat Miccini he must either be big and blew him off court or very good!

Last 8 of a G1 for Thompson - that will do his points total no harm!

Tough loss for Ashley there, but he should be very confident now. By my calculation, Thompson will be up to about No.92 next week so far, without even factoring in the doubles points. That will make 7 in the top 100 next week!

Does anybody know where the next tournament will be for the lads currently in Costa Rica?
