Welcome George Coupland

I've got to agree with virtually everyone else who has posted on this. If the thread was going to be kept, then it needed its accuracy questioning and its author (whoever it actually was) ridiculed before any outsiders saw it as a single unit (up to then, all of the objecting to it had been happening on here), which is what I was trying to do with my post without getting too serious, but leaving it up was risking dragging down everything that's good about this site that all of you have put so much effort into. (got that, David?)

There's a huge difference between a) reporting a bit of amusing gossip on MTF (or wherever) about players who are old enough and ugly enough to look after themselves and will never visit this site anyway and b) writing lots of unsubstantiated drivel about young players, especially if they're people who might actually read it.

On reading the 'love all' thread, I thought I'd taken a wrong turning and ended up on the website for the Sun or the Screws of the World by mistake biggrin.gif

Anyway, I can report just as accurately (ahem!) that having seen this rubbish, Rog Draper's 'next big idea' (cos he's famous for his big ideas ...) to get our juniors' minds on tennis a bit more is to find a high-tech way to "neuter the lot of them". Rumour has it that he's going to start with Coupland and Barnesy and then roll it out. biggrin.gif

And everyone thought that weird pod thingy at the NTC was just somewhere to chill out in ... just wait til they flick the secret switch idea.gif

An added bonus of this approach is that if the male players don't end up making it on the tour, they'll be able to earn a fortune singing arias ... evileye.gif

I don't particularly mind that being re-posted, though despite appearances I didn't repost it here myself * hard stare * (he knows who he is), but it should refer to the Coupland impostor, not George himself. Rumour has it that sheddie has replaced Barnesy on the 'first in the modified pod' list too ...
