That's far from ideal. Overall, I have to say the draw has been positive. Being in Davydenko's quarter and Nadal's half is certainly better than if he'd been in with Fed and Djoko, but a 4th round matchup with Gasquet will be very tough and the first round looks more difficult than it could have been

I don't think its too bad to be honest, Tsonga's game matches up very well for Murray who reads big servers so well on the return and loves to try and counter-punch against the big hitters from the back. Plus, if Tsonga got beaten 3&3 on a very fast indoor surface in Metz, a rematch on a slower, higher bouncing down under doesn't really bode well for him. Plus it will get Andy finding his level and sharpness immediately which is often better than cruising through first couple of rounds against no-hopers and then suddenly having to up it big time against a seed.
Bit harsh to get Gasquet in rd4 but it could have been worse and to go deep in a slam you have to beat top class players.....Gasquet's struggling for form a bit down under too, he's not liking the heavier balls they're using and got beaten in3 sets by Tursunov this week in Sydney
Murray coudl have a Q in R2 or Juan Pablo Brzezicki ARG who i have never heard off....then possible 3rd round is Falla, Chela, Qualifier or Garcia-Lopez.
So he should 'sail' through (Andy does not know the meaning of that word) to meet Gasguet in the QF.
(Roddick then beats Nadal in the other QF and Andy beats him to make the final where he loses in 5hours to the Fed).
OK, in theory Tsonga in 1st round and Chela prospectively in last 32 could be better.
BUT, to my mind Andy is at the stage where we really want to be looking at prospective later opponents and if he's going all the way, he's got I think the best looking prospective opponents by seeding and in practice from the last 16 :
Gasquet ( 8 ), Davydenko ( 4 ) and Nadal ( 2 )
I think Tsonga suits his game in some ways quite well, and let's face it that if he can't beat him in Round 1, then he's not in form to win much more.
Andy should get through that first match but Tsonga is no pushover. Andy should make week 2 then you have to play the big guns to be in the latter stages. Unless they all lose early (let's hope) you can't avoid it.
