I really feel for Soderling.....good player and a great rival of Andy's...wish him all the best.

what's happened to him? I've always liked Soderling, has he retired? Got an injury? I've completely missed whatever it is.

I can't say I've ever liked Soderling, but I do feel a bit sorry for him because he's been out with a wrist injury since Montreal AMS back in August. He's managing to avoid surgery on it, but it's not getting better very fast.

I took to Soderling when he was winding up Nadal at Wimbledon last year!

Remember "The Rasmus". I've always thought Soderling was the lead singer!

First post updated with withdrawal of Bjorkman (Patience in) and the remaining wild cards.

I hear Tommy Haas also has to withdraw, but it is not official yet.

the qualie draw is out now so am I right in thinking any more withdrawals result in a LL space?

Haas now officially out, Yen-Hsun Lu in from alternates.

I think that one just squeaked through, Imoen, any more withdrawals will mean LL's I'm fairly sure.  Poor Mario Ancic is doubtful, he has pulled out of Auckland.

I am looking at putting together a package of Andy's whole Australian Open in a DVD set. Obviously, the price will depend on how far he goes, but it will definitely be a reduction on the usual price of £5 per match. If anyone's interested, drop me a PM. Individual matches will also be available for the usual price.
