According to the Beeb Andy is playing really well at the moment and Santoro appears to have 'thrown in the towel'.

Murray 4-0 up cruising now....

Comment from some idiot on the BBC..

"AM seems 2 have 2 battle through every match, often coming from behind. When is he going 2 show the dominance that the top 10 show?"
Anon, by text

What a pile of nonsense...look at the straight sets wins Andy has had in the last 2 weeks...no wonder its 'anon'....idiot !!!

You could also point him to the losses the 'top 10' players have suffered this week !

Andy now 5-1*

woohoo.gif

I was able to watch most of that match - missed a bit of the second set due to an Other Half who wanted lunch! - I really enjoyed that! Two tacticians trying to outwit each other - so clever!

I would MUCH rather watch players who play like that than ball-bashers trying to flay the fluff off the ball.

C'mon, Andy - the next match, Gasquet or Blake, should settle it. Win that and you are on the plane to Shanghai!

(Actually, you may as well win the whole tournament while you are on laughing.gif )

An unexpected stroll in the park in the end!  Well done, Andy! clap.gif   He may well end up having to win it, given the rate at which his main rivals are still progressing.  Baggy's 2 & 2 thrashing of Davy-donkey, although welcome from the personal point of view, was not good news on the Shanghai front & Cañas doesn't seem to be putting up that much of a fight against Robredo at the moment... cry hmm

And just to end my rant against the idiot BBC poster...who the BBC published his txt in the middle of the game summary just before Andy won..easily...

Andy has now won 9 out of his last 10 matches...7 of them in straight sets..he lost to Nadal (Great match) and dropped a set against Tursonov and Youzhny..which is nothing to be ashamed of.

It just gets my goat when folk just run their mouth...You can critizise anyone..its a free planet...well except in Lapland where Santa keeps his elves under lock and key....but as long as its justified !!!

Gah Johnny why didn't you say something beforehand? I can Sky+ games for anyone who wants them and send them to people on DVD. Now that I've said that I'll probably get an influx of requests lol so would maybe have to charge a small fee just to cover cost of blank disc, but if anyone wants a match then let me know beforehand and I'll Sky+ it.
