So Andy is seeded 2 here...Davydonkey in the No 1 seed he will beat in the final
Andy has never lost to Max....beat him in straight sets at Nottingham in 2006 and in 3 sets on the hard courts of Doha this year. Max has been injured and currently ranked 114 (High of 8 in 2003). He lives in Florida and is ten years Andy's senior. He is 9/21 compared to Andy's 34/12 win/loss record for 2007.
I'm pretty sure Andy will win in straights given his form and how much he likes playing serve-volleyers....not a particularly great draw though for rd1 of an indoor tourney !
Rd2 should be very easy...then looks like Tursunov in the quarters
I remember watching the match they had in Doha at the start of the year, for a set and a half Max played near-perfect serve-volley tennis and there was nothing Andy could do...he was getting more and more frustrated and having a go at Brad after nearly ever game....then midway through the 2nd he creamed a couple of backhand returns and just took off from there, passing at will.
I'm sure Mirnyi would be higher than 114 but he's struggled with consistency and draws...has had two great wins over Baghdatis (rd1 of US Open and Indian Wells) but then lost indoors in straights to Tobais Kamke (wr: 243) !
In St Petersburg last yr he made quarters, losing to Ancic.

Has he won all 4 doubles slams ?
He has won 33 dubs titles....and all slams...USO 4 times, 2 RG, 1 Wim & 1 Aussie Open.

He beat Baghdatis in Rome as well, so seems to pretty much own him
The Kamke loss is a bit of a smokescreen, as Mirnyi knew he would make the main draw as a lucky loser before he went on court, and often in that situation the player will lose to allow the other player a chance to play in the main draw
Murray should win this in straights, as Mirnyi's main weapon is his serve, and it isn't working well at all this year, plus he is concentrating on making the Masters Cup in doubles, and needs a good run here, so that will be his aim
Not on tomorrow's OOP, so I assume the match will be Tuesday.
Yep, second match on the centre court after Ancic/N Lapentti, which kicks off at noon BST (St Petersburg is three hours ahead of London). Not quite an evening fixture, but he shouldn't find it too much of a struggle...
