US Open - Round 3 - Andy Murray v Hyung-Taik Lee

Mr Lee made short work of Canas and this will be an interesting match-up.

The 31yr old is having a good year at his highest ever ranking of 43.

Andy won their only meeting on the ATP tour 6-4 3-6 6-7(4) en-route to Andy winning San Jose this year.

Going for a tight 4 setter...Murray win of course !!!

Boggo whipped him on grass though!

Obviously in good form to bt Canas but I'd rather Andy played Lee than Canas!

Come on 4th round

I think Murray will be really for the this match and probably determined to win it comfortably. If it is a morning match, then Andy shall we in 4 sets, mid afternoon match he should win in straight sets. Overall, imo straight sets. i think he will be really focus in order to get play to his potential against Davydenko in the 4th rd! anf of course revenge from last year!

I would expect Saturday.  That is when the men's third round is scheduled to start and Andy has been one of the first to play his match in the earlier rounds.

Davydenko looked the business last night, it would be an immense task for Murray to get past him.

Let's see him get past Lee before we worry about that!

Almagro may take out Davydonkey for us. . .biggrin.gif

Hyung-Taik Lee is the kind of player who I just cannot understand who he is ranked as highly as he is, as he doesn't appear to have any real weapons, which can work on the clay, but he struggles on the surface. Yet... he still is around the top 40 and keeps pushing top 10 players to a final set.

Murray should win this match, as he is a much better player than Lee, but he is capable of surprising people by not really doing anything

Murray in 4 for me, but hopefully he can have a late start for this match so he doesn't have to wake up too early

Murray gets his wish... 4th on Grandstand tomorrow after Petrova, Haas and Schynder, so looking at around 2100/2200 tomorrow evening

I'll go Andy in 4. It would by ideal if Andy could do this easilly to save something for the match against the Undertaker, but I think Lee is one of those guys who could make things interesting if Andy has one of his mental walkabouts he is sometimes prone to.

So 3 matches on Grandstand before Andy.

Going out for a meal tonight so will more than likely miss it.

Haas is out the blocks quick on Grandstand v Grosjean...4-0 in the first set !

Grosjean about to serve for the 4th set against Haas, so Murray will be a maximum of 1h 30mins away, and that is if this match goes to a final set TB

EDIT: Forgot about the womens match, so could be another 2-3 hours before Murray plays then

I hope it is a quick women's match. I will not want to go to bed in the middle of Andy's match, but I will be in big danger of falling asleep at the computer if it is very late!

Unfortunately I would be surprised if the match doesn;t go to 3 sets, as Scyhnder is known for choking, and Paszek is a very good up and coming player

Schnyder is a set up and has a break in the second, so with a bit of luck pray.gif it won't be too long.
