BBC 606 won the teams competition (even after the team size adjustment pulled them a long way back down towards the average) and MTF's amalyn won the individual. BT were 3rd in the teams competition (all but one of you picked Fed to win, which served you well on the final day!), with Dusty Dick finishing 2nd (well done!), while Robxon, Aria and Grundon also finished in the top 20.
RANKINGS
There are now 296 ranked players (including 105 who played for the first time in the USO pick 'em) with 400 ranking points needed to be in the top 200, 1062 to be in the top 100 and 2772 to be in the top 10.
The relatively high predictability of the USO means that the ranking points for the winner stayed below 700, but the size of the entry ended up meaning that all of the top 15 were awarded more than 600 points - and remember that these can be counted twice in your best 5 when it is a grand slam.
TOP 10 highlights
Despite finishing only 159th in the USO pick 'em, Guy (BT) has retained his lead at the top of the rankings, but his lead has been cut to just 30 points by Allan (AM), whose 11th place at the USO lifts him up from 3rd to 2nd.
Spraggz (AM) and Wendy (AM), 4th and 5th at the USO, have moved up 13 and 14 places to 3rd and 4th respectively, ahead of David Cox / sheddie (BT), who has dropped 3 places to 5th after being unable to play at the USO.
A top 40 finish at the USO has helped goldfish (BT) to rise two places to 6th, with Xenon21 (AM), Richard Morris / ASE (AM) and RobC (BT) all dropping 3 places to 7th, 8th & 9th respectively. cazza99 (AM), up 4 after a top 15 finish in the USO, completes the top 10.
New player highlights
sparklyjojo (AR) is showing that if you do consistently well, it doesn't take too long to start troubling the top 10 - she is up 23 to 13th overall despite not having played her first pick 'em until Wimby.
Similarly, successstory (RF) managed to climb from outside the top 100 to inside the top 50 in one fell swoop - her 9th place in the USO lifted her up 61 places to 46th overall. Robxon (BT), up 54 to 47th after a top 15 finish at the USO, has done the same, though he has played in more events.
No less than 15 of the players who made their pick 'em début at the USO are already in the top 100 - all of the new players who finished in the top 34 at the USO got enough ranking points to do so. They are headed by USO winner amalyn (MT), who enters the rankings in 73rd place.
