Tom bt James 6-2 4-6 6-3
Folie bt Carpenter 7-5 6-1

Tom played a good 1st set & when serving at 3-2 up just become so negative & allowed James back in, he composed himself in the 3rd & was a worthy winner but in all honesty it should have been a 2 & 2 win, all credit to James, that he made it closer.
Jack came flying out of the blocks, playing some great tennis & took a 5-2 lead, his head wondered & Folie came storming back to take 11 of the next 12 games, Jack has decided to play in Portugal next week & has left for Porto & will play qualies as he did not enter.
Kinghts & Chang lost the dubs final 6-3 6-3 , pretty straight forward.
Bull flew home for National qualies & flies back out Monday morning hoping for a better week next week than this week.
Coupland can only get better, it was by far the worst display from him I have ever seen & he has been working really hard this week to put it right & played well in the dubs & has won a few practise matches too.
Smethy will be all out for success as well & will quickly want to put the loss to Carpenter behind him.
Barnes pplayed today for the first time since his match & is feeling a lot more comfortable, with a few more days rest he should be close to 100% & hopefully pick up a few wins next week.

Far from it, he is resting up & taking regualr physio in the hope he is fit for next week, he is playing well again & with a good run behind him, he will be top 100 ITF next year, with out doubt he is still one of our top 1990 boys & on his day one of the best juniors in the world.

It was a tough day at the courts!! Kightsy lost to Folie 6-2 6-2 in what was a pretty impressive display of power tennis from Folie, Knights was not probing with the forehand as he usually would & Folie was able to dictate to often. It was mentally tough as well, as the finals were starting at 3pm with the girls final on first & that lasted 3.5 hours , so there was a lot of waiting around & numerous  warm ups. Still it was a good week & all the British boys will look to go better next week.
