Girls: The Scottish Junior International Championships - 2007.

They have two tournaments in this - an ITF Grade 5 and a Tennis Europe 14 and Under Category 3.

ITF Entry list.

Nice field with Easterbrook, Amy Askew, Bayliss, Heather Watson and a few other top players in there.

This is played on green clay, by the way. At the same place where they have the men's 15K and the women's 10K.

A better entry list (with ITF rankings):

I wonder about that, too. It's been a while since she has played. cry.gif

18 and under draw.

Lereesa was upset in the first round. cry.gif

Hopefully Heather will take the title.

14 and under draw.

Joanna for the title. worship.gif

If she wins the title, she'll go up the rankings by a lot. She is in great form as she won her first ever Category 3 title a few weeks ago - http://www.tenniseurope.org/pdf/junior/Results2007/U14/Birkerod/gsm.pdf

Heather hasn't been troubled much till now.

Henderson could be troubled in her next match. I didn't see that Beazant is playing! She got a few ITF wins last year, so she must be decent.

I'm curious as to why Beazant is playing this and not the ITF event. She's at the end of her 14s career and it won't be much help even if she wins the title.

(Beazant is BRITISH, whatever her ITF profile says is wrong.)

So we are guranteed a british finalist.

Hopefully Heather can get to the final aswell. Hoping she can win the title. Shes much better than her junior ranking. She should be top 300 at least.

Heather beat De Wael by 3 and 2 and plays Smith in the final.

Henderson beat Beazant in three sets and is now through to the final.
