Boys: The Scottish Junior International Championships - 2007.

They have two tournaments in this - an ITF Grade 5 and a Tennis Europe 14 and Under Category 3.

This was an ITF G4 once, but then they didn't hold this for a year and it started from G5 again. Hopefully it'll get upgraded next year.

ITF Entry list.

Matt James is the top seed. Barnes won't defend his title.

No Carpenter. cry.gif But maybe this means he'll be trying his hand at Futures qualies?

I was wondering whether Dyce would be playing this. I know that he is way above G5 level, but this is in Edinburgh. Jamie Murray played this when he had been in the ITF top 50!

18 and under draw.

If Matt James does well here and next week in Winchester, he will crack the top 170.

14 and under draw.

Good luck to Broady.

Well done to O'Mara, our best 12 and under player at the moment, on getting his first 14 and under win.

O'Mara lost to a seed in three sets, but Broady is doing well. He has lost just four games in two matches.

In the 18s, the top seeds (James and Thompson) are both still in the draw.

Poor standard this year, can not understand Matt James playing it, I thought he would have played qualies for Felixstowe & Frinton. Barnes is having his tonsils removed & will be competing again the week of the 23rd in Switzerland before going to Portugal with a few British guys for 2 Grade 4 events before Nationals.
