btw, during one of the matches earlier this week, John Lloyd was asked about what he thought of the wc choices...he said that he totally disagreed with Queens' decision of giving 2 to foreigners....he said that he thinks it's ok to give wcs to foreigners if there aren't 5 Brits who are deserving of wcs but this year he felt that there were...he was v disappointed that Josh Goodall didn't get one

How does Josh Goodall deserve one after his performances this year

i think the reason why John thought Josh should have got one, because of his performance on the grass last year.

But thats last year, surely its not done by surface its done by performance.

Miles and Myles have both done well in futures surely they deserve it more?
I feel bad for Kasiri especially because if he would have won wimbledon chances are he would be much more popular and may have progressed faster

Lloyd was fuming that Cilic got a WC on grass with the Davis Cup in mind.

And he was proved right.

Perhaps he needs to graduate to £15k Futures and then challengers to prove himself, thus far he has only played futures, mostly £10k - quite away removed from ATP events.

i think a QF appearnce at Notts might be enough to get him in the top 100. would be a brill time to do it to just coming into wimby.

2 wins away from the top 100 clap.gif
