Giving one to Slater ahead of Cornish would be daft as Slater hasn't done anything big till now and most of her points come from Africa.


But Slater has a bigger game than Cornish which is more likely to succeed on grass, plus she beat Cornish earlier this year and she pushed Pirvonorova all the way in Jan, indoors...was something like 7-5, 7-6

Great results for Jade and Naomi. If Naomi has a decent draw in junior wimbledon she might cause an upset with her huge serve and that backhand.

Yeah definately...she pushed a top 120 player on the womens tour to the brink at Surbiton so on her day she'll be a threat to anyone at junior Wimbledon. I've yet to see her play so hoping that some of her matches next week will be on BBCi

Rd3 Roehampton results:

P Kvitova bt J Windley 2-4, 4-1, 10-5

S Roma bt N Broady 4-2, 4-0

Madison Brengle got hammered 4-1, 4-0 in rd3 jawdrop.gif

Jade did well to get a set off Kvitova who's ranked 229 on the womens tour and is just 17 ! She made a 50K final a couple of weeks ago !

I'm surprised that Broady lost so easily to Roma who's ranked 67 in juniors but on the womens tour she's ranked lower than Broady at 1090.

Tinjic is of a different class. She is 1991 born but is inside the top 600 after playing in just six women's events.

Croatia has got two world class 1991 born girls - Tinjic and Petra Martic.




But yeah, 4-0 4-1 sounds strange. confused.gif

Wow, that is pretty impressive...Tinjic sounds like a star of the future....still would have expected Brengle to push her closer than that given that she's been making an impact in challengers this year
