Sorry to hijack this section of the site, I just didn't know where to put this thread!

Tennis For Free is launching a FREE "Dream Team" competition for Wimbledon, with a first prize of a £1,000 holiday up for grabs. However, before then, just to try out the engine, we've setup a dummy run for the French Open.

You get £100m to spend - £50m for the men and £50m for the women. You have to choose ten players from each category.

I've set-up a mini league for the websites (this, GR.co.uk, AM.com, B&S and TH) - Online Tennis Communities to see who comes out the best (it won't be me, that's for sure).

To join up to the game, go to http://tffdreamteam.com/frenchopen/index.php
to select your team, then enter 6ee70977f15d577e3bc544bbf4e12932 as the password to join the mini league.

When a player wins a game, they win you a point. So a 6-1 4-6 7-5 6-2 win would earn you 23 points. Straight sets wins earns a further 10 points. A player reaching the semi finals earns an extra five, the final is 10 and winner is 15.

Remember, this is just the dummy run, so there's only bragging rights up for grabs. But, if you do join up, could you put (BT) at the end of your team name, so we can see which website perfoms best!

Entries have to be in by 12.00noon on Sunday, the first day of the tournament.

Hope you will join in and enjoy it ahead of the Wimbledon competition. And, from next week (hopefully) the donation button will be working if you wish to donate to the charity (strictly voluntary!)

hmm - must be doing something wrong. I registerd by clicking on the "it's free" button, but then couldn't log in again with that password?

Log back in with your own details. Then click on groups and you should then get an option to use that password to join the mini league

I have NO idea whatsoever about which women are good on Clay. Monaco looked nice & cheap.

i have recived my confiormation email but clikcign the link doesnt seem to actviate the account. it just takes me to the registar page, where i get the following replies: 'someone has already registered that name' or 'you need to activate the accont'

Sadey is the runaway overall leader after day 1 with 94 points. Online Tennis Communities members take up the top three places in the overall table (Sadey is an honorary member until I can get her registration sorted when I speak to the developers on Tuesday).


Our mini league is currently third - mainly because we've got the largest group and not everyone is on the board yet (and also because Sadey's not in yet!).

Here are the day one results. Apologies for the formatting being all over the place, I don't know how it works. Perhaps Steven will tell me...

The only suggestion I have for the formatting, Wallace is to try using Courier as your font.

Hmm - only 22 points today cry.gif Hopefully Juan Monaco can bring me loads of points later.

Your username is Josh, but team name is BT. When I speak to the developers on Tuesday I'll ask them about the possibility of changing team names.

I've got a list of things to speak to them about - plus a few more to speak to my boss about when he gets back from the FO on Thursday
