Hydro Group Tennis International 21st May

This week's betting action comes from Austria. I'll try and get some outright odds up in the next couple of days. Here are Monday's matches:

1100 A Montanes 1.40 v D Bracciali 2.75

1100 H-T Lee 1.50 v D Udomchoke 2.50

1200 A Roddick 1.10 v A Peya 6.50

1200 M Mirnyi 1.72 v M Montcourt 2.00

1200 K Pless 1.50 v C Berlocq 2.50

1315 P Starace 1.40 v S Koubek 2.75

1315 L Horna 1.25 v O Dogopolov JR. 3.75

1530 I Ljubicic 1.25 v A Delic 3.75

1715 G Monfils 1.53 v S Querrey 2.37

Struggled to find odds for a few, so had to get a little creative. I think I'm pretty close to the correct odds with all of them though. Bets accepted until displayed times.

do we not get our stakes back then?

I bet 15 in all. 10 of which were lost.

But I won ten and get that stake back.

Shouldn't I break even?

Where did you win 10

5 on Peya and 5 on Dogopolov = -10

5 on Montcourt at 2.00 = 10 returned which is +5

which gives u a loss of 5 on the day

5 @2 = 10 + the stake of 5 back.

I'm sure you're probably right. I don't bet outside of this so don't really undetstand it. Just thought that betters got their stakes back. (when they win the bet)

You do get your stake back

5 @ 2 = 5 plus your stake back

You appear to beleive that betting at 2.00 triples your stake. It is not 2/1. 2.00 is decimal odds for Even money. We have always bet by decimal odds so I assumed people understood them. The easy way to think of it is to multiply your stake by the decimal odds and that is your RETURN which includes your stake.

IE 5 x 2 = 10 (including stake)

for 2/1 the decimal odds would be 3.00

so 5 x 3 = 15

which is what you seem to think you bet at

thanks that explains it.

I had thought it was 2/1!

You're doing a great job with this!
