We beat Czech REpublic clap.gifclap.gif Great comeback after being humbled by France.

The scorecard says 2-1 in the tie but then lists 3 wins for GB in set scores.

Pauffley bt Konecny 4-6 6-3 6-4

Cox bt Jebavy 6-1 6-4 clap.gifjawdrop.gif

Cox/Evans bt Jebavy/Konecny 6-3 6-4.


My guess is that Pauffley lost the top match but they have the score the wrong way round.

Either way GB won the tie! Great singles showing by Cox there!

We lost 2-1. Those are the most confusing scorecards ever.

Cox won the singles but we lost the other two matches by those scorelines....

No miracles, then. cry But we did incredibly well considering that we were the youngest team in the main draw. Had we been in the other half, we would have made the finals for sure.

Actually, we had the youngest team in the entire tournament, and not just the main draw. Even then we managed to come fourth (and we would have come third had we not thought of dropping Evo and giving Pauffley a chance). Respect to all three.... worship.gif



But I still maintain that it would have been far more beneficial to people all around if Evans and Cox had done the Futures and Willis, James and Pauffley had played here.

Evo said it was good playing against a guy like Eysseric, said that Eysseric is a quality player, big server...but didn't feel that he (Evo) played that well against him
