I just don't know who we are going to play. hmm.gif

Will Naomi be interested? Fitzpatrick? Who else?? We don't even have a proper doubles team with the girls. cry.gif

I told David to ask Naomi, but he hasn't done it yet (I think). I don't want her to play - we don't have a team that has a good chance of winning it, so it's no use. She could play women's events instead.

14 and under team - Jessica Ren, Laura Robson, Amy Askew.

Nominations.

Looks like Jennifer Ren will play an ITF/10K instead!

Haven't had the chance to update due to exams.

We did very well at the beginning and qualified as the group winners. But unfortunately we suffered a shock defeat to Serbia in the main draw and finished fifth overall.

16 and under team - Jocelyn Rae, Stephanie Cornish, Laura Slater.

18 and under team - Amanda Elliott, Jade Windley, Katharina Brown.

Why is Elliott playing such tournaments when her Juniors career is effectively over? And she has got quite a few women's tourneys left to complete.

I think that Tara isn't playing because she has WTA points to defend.

Wow: Laura Robson undefeated in singles!!

Jess Ren won her first match in the 5th place play- off final.

The Amy- Laura doubles partnership only lost in the 1st round of the finals.

Our 18s team lost to Croatia in the fist round. Kat Brown lost to Petra Sunic by 64 57 26 and Broady to Tamara Stojkovic by 61 16 46, before Windley and Broady won the doubles.

But great news from Queenswood...

Britains Zone B qualifying campaign began in style at Queenswood School, Hertfordshire, on Tuesday when they beat top seeds Bulgaria 2-1.

Stephanie Cornish lost the opening singles rubber before Jocelyn Rae levelled the tie at 1-1.

Rae and Laura Slater then combined to win the decisive doubles 6-4 in the decider to clinch victory. The British team now faces Denmark.

Tennis Europe don't have the scores from Queenswood. furious.gif

But we beat Denmark by 2-1 before losing to Russia in the finals, meaning that we play in the main draw. w00t.gifclap.gif

We'll play our first tie on the 5th.

We lost by 3-0, which isn't a huge shock given how strong the Romanian team is.

Mitu beat Slater by 67 76 62. cry.gif So close!
Rae lost to Halep by 63 61 and then they lost the doubles.

We can still qualify for the Junior Davis Cup if we finish fifth.
